Nicole Yancey Appointed to Serve Three-Year W3R-US Board Term

W3R-US Chair Kim Burdick recently appointed Nicole Guggenheim Yancey of Yorktown, VA to serve a three-year term on the board of directors. She is Honorary Counsel of France in Virginia, Emerita. She has been actively involved with the work of W3R-US for many years and was the originator of Yorktown Days.

Heroes of Fishkill Event

On Saturday, May 26, 2018, historic preservation groups held the Second Annual Heroes of Fishkill event commemorating the town’s Revolutionary War patriots.  This year’s gathering, with an estimated 75 attendees, featured presentations on Revolutionary War medicine, the Colonial families of Fishkill, and LaFayette’s travel through Fishkill in May 1780, a talk given by Dr. Robert A. Selig, Historian and Consultant to the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail.

Memorial for Former Treasurer Carl Nittinger (1947-2018)

Carl Edward Nittinger, age 71, of Salem NJ (formerly of Haddonfield) passed away on January 17, 2018, at Penn Hospice in Philadelphia PA. He is survived by his sisters, Virginia Merkel of Media PA and Louise Stotz of Palm Coast FL.
