The annual Memorial Service honoring the 8 French soldiers who died in Van Cortlandtville during the Revolutionary War will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Old Saint Peter’s Church, Oregon Road and Locust Avenue, Cortlandt, New York.
Refreshments, including a birthday cake for the French Commander, General Rochambeau, will be served next door at the Little Red Schoolhouse, 297 Locust Ave., after the service. All are welcome at no charge.
