Colonial Delaware Summer Lecture Series – Lafayette Returns to Delaware

Join W3R-DE this summer for an exciting lecture series at the New Brandywine Village Welcome Center, focused on Colonial Delaware’s history and The First State’s role in the American Revolution!
Their fifth and final lecture, Lafayette Returns to Delaware, will be presented by W3R-DE president Bill Conley, on October 6th, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. This final lecture in the Colonial Delaware Summer Series will discuss the Marquis de Lafayette’s return to Delaware during his 1824-1825 visit to the United States.
Joining the Lafayette Reenactor (Michael Halbert), will be Delaware historian Wade Catts, student essay winner Caroline Grow, Delaware Choir School, First Delaware Regiment, Dela Military Museum Staff, and Bagpiper Walter Ferris. Our new Lafayette 1824 Return Historical Sign will be unveiled following the speakers and Choir performance.
