“Common Sense” The Virginia Declaration of Rights – VA

Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and the 1776 Virginia Bill of Rights, this inspiring participatory event engages the audience with music and living history as it offers a unique picture into the elements of our shared colonial history. Join us for an exploration of the writings of Thomas Paine and the composing of the Virginia Bill of Rights, as presented by historical interpreters Bill Rose and Michael Pfeifer. Bill Rose has been a professional historical interpreter for the last 30 years at Colonial Williamsburg and is certified by the National Association of Interpreters. Michael Pfeifer is a historian with a long career in museums and historical research and interpretation of past places, people, and events of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries.
