Step back through history at Soldering Through the Ages, a two-day living-history event bringing the past to life through reenactors, demonstrations, military displays, and hands-on experiences.
Travel through the centuries—from the Romans through World War II—and discover the skills, technology, and military history that shaped generations. Visitors can enjoy live historical demonstrations, cannon firing, black-powder demonstrations, military bands, and a variety of static displays.
Bring the family and experience history in action!
As part of this year’s REI Co-op Impact Public Lands initiative, Soldiering Through the Ages will also serve as a local National Public Lands Day event. REI is donating $1 million to the Partnership for the National Trails System to support trails across the country, and the public is being invited to help determine how those funds are distributed among three areas: advocacy, education, and stewardship.
During the event, visitors can stop by the W3R-US/REI table to learn more about the initiative and cast their vote for where they believe the funding can make the greatest impact.
Anyone can learn more and vote at REI.com/blog/public-lands.
Use the form to sign up for the official W3R-US weekly newsletter featuring the latest news, events and exciting history resources!
