On July 1, 2025, W3R-VA honors the 300th birthday of General Jean-Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, Comte de Rochambeau—Commander of French forces in the American Revolution—and launches a new initiative recognizing the “Three Commanders and Heroes of Yorktown”: Washington, Rochambeau & de Grasse.

For those of you who cannot make the event in person on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, 4:00-6:00 PM, in the Historic Yorktown Freight Shed in Yorktown, Virginia, you may join in the festivities on Zoom. Though the Zoom meeting will not be steered by anyone, a camera will be set up so you may see everything that occurs (within the range of the camera and microphone, of course.) We will have some really exciting speakers and special guests, and we would love for you to join us.
