Third Annual Celebration of French General Rochambeau’s Birthday – VA

July 1st is rapidly approaching, and so is our third annual celebration of French General Rochambeau’s birthday. The spirit of this incredible General and his contributions to American independence live on as we recognize the 301st anniversary of his birth.

On that day, we will also celebrate:

• The accomplishments of the three commanders and heroes of Yorktown (Washington, Rochambeau, and de Grasse)
• Completion of the Virginia W3R/WARO route redesignation project, a 6-year project to re-mark the route as a National Historic Trail

Numerous local dignitaries and many of our volunteers, supporters, and special guests will be in attendance. Light hor-d’oeuvres, cake, and nonalcoholic beverages will be served. Bring a guest. The event is open to the public; reservations are required.  RSVP no later than June 19, 2026, with your name, organization, and number in your party.

Donations to support this and other events, and to help fulfill our mission “to enlighten, educate, and foster wholesome activities that improve the lives of everyone,” are always welcome.
