French Infantry Campsite 11 (south) in Ridgebury

Ridgefield constitutes the last French camp in Connecticut. It became the starting point for the active military campaign when Washington asked Rochambeau and the duc de Lauzun to join American forces in a surprise attack on Morrisania.
