DESCRIPTION:REGISTER NOW to Learn More About the FY24 African American Heritage Preservation Program!\n\n\n\nWebinars and in-person workshop available this spring\n \nEbenezer A.M.E. Church\, Baltimore City\, MHT Staff Photo \nRegistration is now open for the FY24 African American Heritage Preservation Program (AAHPP) Webinars & In-Person Workshop\nAdministered as a partnership between MHT and the Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture (MCAAHC)\, AAHPP provides grants to assist in the preservation of buildings\, sites\, or communities of historical and cultural importance to the African American experience in Maryland. \nFor the first time\, AAHPP has a new annual appropriation of $5 million\, up from $1 million annually. Grant awards now range from $10\,000 to $250\,000 (up from $100\,000!). Additionally\, there is no longer a match requirement for any applicants. \nThis spring\, MHT and MCAAHC will hold one webinar\, two Q&A sessions\, and one in-person workshop in April\, May\, and June for prospective applicants of the AAHPP. Attend a webinar or in-person workshop to learn about the eligibility of applicant organizations\, properties\, and projects; documentation required for the application; the program’s selection criteria; and more. Come to a Q&A Session ready to talk about your specific project.
