Park Day 2020 Postponed

Hello Friends,

Due to the unprecedented impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the American Battlefield Trust is officially postponing Park Day 2020. We understand that the coming weeks are unpredictable, and it is a challenge for individual sites to plan a volunteer event. The health and safety of our supporters, partners, and friends is our most important consideration in this matter.

As always, individual Park Day events are scheduled and organized by our dedicated site managers at their own discretion. Many individual sites are making the choice to postpone, cancel, or reschedule their events. We are in close contact with the site managers and we will update our website with more information as we receive it.

If you have specific questions, we encourage you to contact your Park Day site supervisor directly regarding the status of their activities, or how else you may help support the park at this time and throughout the year.

With that said, I want to thank everyone who had already signed up to volunteer and lend a helping hand. The official event may be dispersed this year, but I hope that Park Day is a “can-do” attitude that we can embody all year round — each site needs your support throughout the year. Thank you for investing your time and effort to ensure that our historic places are preserved and pristine.

Stay safe and healthy,

Connor Townsend
Park Day 2020 Coordinator
