On August 27, 2023, W3R-US, Maryland Veteran Museum, and Port Tobacco Chapter, NSDAR co-hosted the Rochambeau Reception at the Maryland Veterans Museum in Southern Maryland. Aimed at educating the public about the Washington-Rochambeau Route through the region, the event featured the unveiling of four informational signs and drew 93 guests from numerous states. A reenactor portraying General Rochambeau and Dr. Robert Selig spoke about historical aspects, while the 1st Maryland Regiment and Charles County Youth Chamber Ensemble added ceremonial flair. Overseen by Master of Ceremony Lawrence Abell, the well-received event combined history, fundraising, and community engagement. Below are several photographs from the event!
