DESCRIPTION:Join PBS television host Darley Newman and a panel of four travel and history experts on January 18th\, 2024 from 6:45pm to 8:15pm either in person at the Ripley Center in Washington D.C. or virtually through zoom as they take you along on a journey exploring American Revolution historic sites\, battlefields and great local dining options. They will be sharing these hidden gems alongside historical discussion and rarely told stories about the American Revolution to promote the premier of the new season of Travels with Darley (releasing January 4th\, 2024)\, which features the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route! \nExplore our nation’s history and contemplate its future along this ideal road trip route which takes travelers from Charleston\, South Carolina\, all the way to Saratoga\, New York. Along the route are numerous locations of significant to the American Revolution\, including Trenton\, Princeton and Morristown\, New Jersey\, Camden\, South Carolina\, Prince William County\, Virginia and the National Museum of the Marine Corps. \nTopics include the battles of Trenton and Princeton\, as a part of the “Ten Crucial Days” of the American Revolution\, and historical documents from our founding. \nPanelists include: \n\nCarrie Fellows\, Executive Director of Crossroads of the American Revolution\nDavid Duncan\, President of the American Battlefield Trust\nRita D.
