SUMMARY:10th Annual Conference of the American Revolution
DESCRIPTION:Our friends at America’s History are hosting a series of events the weekend of March 17th through the 19th in Colonial Williamsburg. \nBeginning with a guided tour of the Yorktown battlefield that will examine eighteenth century field fortification construction\, employment of artillery weapons and ordnance\, and the application of siege warfare doctrine. Explore the British defensive positions and the Franco-American coalition army’s parallel and approach trenches as well as the logistical support areas that ensured the stunning victory. Siege warfare can be seen as dynamic and as interesting as any battlefield fighting. \nAt the tour’s conclusion\, participants will better understand how the combined allied forces were able to destroy the combat power of a major British field army that was defending well-fortified positions without resorting to bloody frontal assaults. \nA cocktail reception at 6:30 pm  will be hosted following the bus tour for all speakers and attendees. \nFor more information regarding events\, scheduling and registration\, please click here! \nTour registration:\nConference only: $275 (if paid by 2/1/23) \nClick here to register for the conference exclusively! \nConference + Bus Tour: $420 (if paid by 2/2/23) \nClick here to register for both the bus tour and the conference! \nAll previous conference and tour credits will be honored at no additional cost.
