Affiliates

The National Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route Association (W3R-US) initiates, coordinates, and publicizes the efforts of many affiliated groups and individuals on projects that enhance the value and enjoyment of the Washington-Rochambeau National Historic Trail (WARO).

Our Affiliates have provided:

(1) goals which inspired individuals to action
(2) events to incorporate in W3R-US anniversary celebrations
(3) aid in securing public or private financial, and non-financial, support
(4) members, volunteers, and advisors, to groups and organization commemorating
the American War of Independence, and French support in that war
(5) donors, participants, and supporters

Most of the research, commemorations, signage, events and touring are accomplished through our state chapters, and their state and local affiliates. Local organizations are vital to the ongoing effort to join the many historic sites and sections of the trail into a coherent whole story of French aid to the United States between 1775 and 1783.
